Pet Sanctuaries

An animal sanctuary is a facility where animals are brought to live and to be protected for the

 rest of their lives. 

Sanctuaries offer the animals adequate space, care, shelter, food, medicine, and love so that these animals can live out their remaining days in comfort. 

The responsibility of all sanctuaries is to ensure

 that the animal is given appropriate care 

until their natural death.

 Paws Give Me Purpose Incorporated is a 501(c)(3) Sanctuary located in Southern New Jersey. Our mission is to provide a bridge of care that supports senior, hospice and special needs dogs so they can live their lives to the fullest.

We believe that all dogs deserve a second chance at life – especially those that need care, love, and understanding.

One of the most important missions here at Paws Give Me Purpose, beyond caring for the animals that call our Sanctuary home, is educating the public. The ultimate goal is to change the way that humans think of, and treat, dogs with special needs.

We are strictly a volunteer-run
organization and all donations go directly 

towards the care of the Sanctuary residents.

There are a number of ways to get involved that require different time commitments, schedules, and focus. We look forward to working with you to find a volunteer role or opportunity that matches your skills, interest, and schedule so that you can make a big difference in the lives of the animals who call Paws Give Me Purpose home. 

We could not do what we do without the help of our volunteers. Although our staff is dedicated and knowledgeable, extra helping hands and 

hearts are necessary for the important work in which we are involved. Every activity you

 perform, whether directly handling the 

animals or not, improves the quality of 

their lives in Sanctuary.
